The 100 Baby Challenge
What Is The 100 Baby Challenge?
Your objective for this challenge is to give birth to 100 children in as few generations as possible. The challenge ends as soon as the 100th child is born or if you fail the challenge for breaking rules.
Setting Up
Create a young adult Sim to start out with. We’ll call her the matriarch. For the sake of clarity, the matriarch will be referenced with female pronouns in the rules but your matriarch may have any gender customizations you wish, as long as she can get pregnant and is able to accept romance socials from Sims that can get her pregnant. She may have any traits, aspiration, appearance, walk style, voice, and likes/dislikes you like.
You may use the in-game personality quiz to determine your matriarch’s careers, traits, skills, and starting funds if you like. You may also opt out of this option if you prefer.
Move your matriarch into any lot she can afford with her starting funds. You may move as many times as you want during the challenge as long as you can afford it without cheating.
Find a Sim to impregnate your matriarch. For the sake of clarity, these Sims will be called donors and referenced with male pronouns in the rules, but your matriarch may have children with non-binary Sims as well.
Continue having children in this manner while following the rest of the challenge rules.
Rules
These rules apply to everyone, regardless of which packs you own. If you don’t own any add-on packs, you can just use these rules and disregard the other sections.
You must play with aging on and set to a normal lifespan. Auto-Aging for NPCs is encouraged to ensure the game keeps generating donors for your matriarch.
Any mods or CC that give you an unfair advantage over other players are not allowed. Mods that allow you to overstuff your household or gain money through child support payments are definitely not allowed.
No cheats! The only exceptions to this are bb.moveobjects on for creative building purposes and cheating to resolve glitches.
If a lot your matriarch moves into has existing lot traits, you may not edit or add to them. If your lot has no lot traits, you may pick three traits but your decision is permanent. You cannot change them after.
All in-game rewards from completing aspirations and social events may be used except ones that prolong your Sim’s lifespan or save them from death.
Newborns cannot be aged up until you get a notification saying that it is their birthday.
Infants can be aged up once they’ve tried all the different baby foods. They do not have to like all of them. This rule is different if you own Growing Together! See the Add-On section for details!
Infants must age up with either the Happy Infant or Top-Notch Infant traits so make sure you have been extremely attentive to them before you age them up. An infant aging up with the Unhappy Infant trait is a challenge fail!
Toddlers can be aged up when they reach level 3 in all toddler skills.
Children and teenagers can be aged up when they get an A in school.
Young adults can be moved out of the house to make room for more children but they cannot be moved back in after.
NOTE: It is fine if children age up naturally because you didn’t meet the age up requirements for them sooner. The age up requirements are like a bonus; the faster you age up and move out children, the more children your matriarch can have.
When your matriarch becomes an elder and can no longer bear children, her youngest daughter takes over as the next matriarch. You may move out your elderly matriarch only if her youngest daughter has become a young adult.
You cannot make more room in the house faster by killing off underage Sims or letting babies, toddlers or children be taken by social services. Raise your children to adulthood. Simple.
Your matriarch may register as self-employed or have a work from home career, but cannot have any job that requires her to go to a rabbithole destination. She cannot have a part-time job.
Teenagers may hold part-time jobs to help support the family and bring in extra income.
Your matriarch may leave her home lot freely. She does not have to bring all her children with her whenever she leaves the lot.
Your matriarch may not get married while she is of child-bearing age. She may get married as an elder but she must move out of the home with her spouse. They can’t move into the active household.
Your matriarch may not get pregnant by the same donor twice. Once he has impregnated your Sim once, he cannot be used again for more children.
Donors may not contribute to the household in any way. They may not move in, help look after the children or provide any financial aid to the household. Your matriarch is responsible for supporting all her children by herself.
Your matriarch may not influence the gender of her children. Avoid strawberries, carrots, pop music, and alternative music to avoid influencing the gender of unborn babies.
Use the in-game randomiser to select all the children’s traits as they age. You cannot cherry pick their traits. If you preferred the old method, you may also continue to use Pinstar’s random trait generator or createarandomsim.com if you wish.
You may hire maids, gardeners, and repair technicians, but you may not hire a nanny. Take care of your own children. You may hire caterers and mixologists but only for parties.
If you have add-on packs installed, there may be added rules or exceptions to the base rules. Continue to the add-on rules to see any additions.
Add-on Rules
The following rules apply to players who have add-on packs installed. Disregard any rules for packs you don’t have.
Your matriarch may run a retail business, restaurant, vet clinic, and own residential rental properties. She can also live in residential rentals as either a tenant or owner. Teenagers may help out at these venues as an alternative to hiring employees.
Your matriarch may run a business that she also lives at.
Your matriarch may have a work from home job but she must always choose the work from home option.
Your matriarch may join and create clubs as long as the club activities do not violate any challenge rules.
Your matriarch may have pets, including horses, but keep in mind pets take up space in the household and there are no rewards for having them.
You may participate in holidays and create your own holidays as long as none of the traditions violate challenge rules. Feel free to edit existing holiday traditions to comply with the rules.
Your matriarch may become famous and build reputation through any means that don’t involve careers.
Your matriarch may go on vacation but she must bring her entire household with her. She may not go on vacation if she is pregnant or has a newborn at home.
Your matriarch cannot be a vampire or any other immortal occult type. She may use vampires and other occults as donors but any female children that are an immortal occult type are ineligible to take over as the next matriarch. You may make the immortal occult child human to make her eligible again.
If Parenthood is installed, teens may not be aged up and moved out of the house until they have an A in school and at least one character value within trait range. Your matriarch must always stop whatever she is doing and go scold/punish her children as you see fit if you catch them misbehaving.
Your matriarch may use the wishing well but she cannot wish for a child.
Your matriarch may hire a butler but the butler cannot look after the children. Disable child care in the butler’s menu.
If High School Years is installed, teens can be aged up if they receive the option to graduate high school early. However, they must still meet all other age up requirements first, including any age up requirements from other packs you have installed.
If Growing Together is installed, infants only need to have tried 3 mashed baby foods and 1 finger food; however, they must reach the Crawling and Pincer Grasp milestones in order to be aged up early. It is not a challenge fail if they don’t reach these milestones. The only penalty is not being able to age them up early.
If Growing Together is installed, children cannot be aged up until they have an A in school and high confidence.
If Growing Together is installed, your matriarch may accept any trait changes or trait swaps she is presented with. She may also allow or invite Sims as stay-over guests but must encourage them to relax. She cannot encourage them to help out. She cannot accept a move-in offer from a stay-over guest. Baby showers, family reunions, and sleepovers are all allowed.
If Life & Death is installed, you may have your matriarch complete a bucket list as long as none of the goals violate a challenge rule. You may delete and select new goals as you please. If your matriarch dies, you can reincarnate her only if she has completed her bucket list in life. You must reincarnate her as a young adult. You may not bring her back as a playable ghost. If you choose to reincarnate her, you can continue the challenge with her instead of choosing one of her children to continue the challenge with.
Optional Occult Rules
Disregard this section if you do not want to play with occults. This is just for players who enjoy a more supernatural play style. Choose only one occult type to play with.
Occult Incentive
Your matriarch must be human.
Each occult born to your human matriarch adds two to your total child count, so one occult child is worth the equivalent of two human children.
If you choose to make your next matriarch an occult, you forfeit this bonus until you take another human matriarch. For immortal occults, you can take on a new human matriarch when the human daughter you want to continue the challenge with becomes a young adult.
If your chosen occult has an alternate form, your matriarch and all her children must always be in their human form whenever they leave the lot.
You may not tip off Sims outside the household that anyone in your household is an occult. If occult-related socials are used or if a Sim discovers that anyone in your household is an occult, they must be banished from the home immediately and never be socialised with again. Feel free to get creative with how your family protects their secret. Have your aliens wipe memories or your vampires compel for a deep drink, etc.
Occult Themed Challenge
Your matriarch must be an occult.
Your matriarch may only have children with human Sims.
Any human children that your matriarch gives birth to do not count towards the 100 baby total. You may not move out human children to make more space for occult children until they meet the normal requirements to be aged up into a young adult.
If a specific pack or feature is not mentioned anywhere in the rules, always assume it is allowed!!!
